Following the successful launch of the Jexme series electric actuators in 2006, we are happy to introduce a new model to the Jexme family-Jexme JS-02-ECR.

An electric actuator mounts on valves which, in response to a signal, automatically move to a desired position using an outside power source. The common advantages of an electric actuator include low power consumption, high degree of precision, multi-purpose and ease of operation. The Jexme JS-02-ECR does more by offering a new safety feature - the fail-safe function. The actuator is equipped with built-in storage for battery power. Every time the battery is recharged, it automatically stores power. Hence in case of power failure where there is a sudden disruption of power supply, the actuator is still able to rotate to the pre-specified position.

Like the rest of the Jexme line, all models include standard manual override, visual position indicator, torque limiter and adjustable-position switches. The constantly engaged manual override means the presence of a safety non-rotating hand wheel for manual emergency control, while the compact, balanced design reduces costs for pipeline support and prevents stress in the pipe work as well as eliminates side loads on the valve spindle.

What sets VT Series apart are the hard coat anodized body and pistons, and the extruded aluminum ASTM6005 body material with internal and external corrosion protection, making the metal stronger and hence enhancing the life cycle while reducing the coefficient of friction. In fact, the VT Series series reaches 500,000 life cycles, 166% longer than similar products offered from the Chinese market. Using PTFE/Graphite as the piston guide effectively reinforces the strength of the piston, and provides the lubricating function. The multiple bearings, hardness of die cast aluminum pistons and nickel plated pinion reduces the gap caused by friction and prevents shaft blowout. The modular pre-loaded spring cartridge design, with coated spring for simple versatile range, offers greater safety, corrosion resistance, and longer life cycle. VT Series employs the dual piston rack and pinion design for compact construction, symmetric mounting position, high cycle life and fast operation. Reverse rotation can be accomplished in the field by simply inverting the pistons. Teeth on the piston and pinion are fully machined for accurate low backlash rack and pinion engagement, and maximum efficiency.
For double-acting VT Series is available in 11 sizes. Under the provision of common power supply (80 psi), the output torque ranges from 71 to 25469 in-lb. For single-acting, also known as spring return type, 10 sizes are available. VT Series fully conforms to the latest specifications: ISO5211, DIN3337 and or product interchangeability and easy mounting of solenoids, limit switches and other accessories.
We invite you to learn more about these exciting new products. To learn more about the Jexme series or VT Series, please contact your DE representative or visit our website at www.die-erste.com.

Birth of DIE ERSTE
DIE ERSTE was founded in 1984 out in an area of farmlands in Taichung, Taiwan. Now gone are the spacious farmlands and in its place filled with high-rise commercial buildings.

Geography/Population
The island of Taiwan lies 120 kilometers off the southeastern coast of mainland China, and has an area of 35,980km² and a population of 22 million people, making it the 14th most populated country in the world.
Influences
Taiwanese culture has also influenced other cultures. Bubble tea and milk tea are available in Australia, Europe, North America. The director of increasing popularity, Ang Lee, has directed critically acclaimed films such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Eat Drink Man Woman, Sense and Sensibility, and Brokeback Mountain.

It's tea time!
Taichung is home to the popular drink "Bubble tea". Bubble tea is a tea beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 1980s. It is a mixture of iced or hot sweetened tea, milk, and often other flavorings. The distinctive characteristics of bubble tea are the black gummy balls made of tapioca called "pearls" that sit at the bottom of the cup. The pearls are generally translucent brown with a darker brown center, with a diameter of at least 6 millimeters. "Bubble Tea" in Chinese actually refers to a modern method of beverage preparation: to efficiently and homogenously mix various ingredients such as sugar, powdered milk, tea and ice in the drinks, drink makers often shake the tea up as bartenders do with cocktails. So, next time when you are in Taiwan, remember to have your DIE ERSTE representative take you for a taste of the bubble tea!
